Welcome to my new blog, "Musings of Vice and Ire", dedicated to analysing George R.R. Martin's series of fantasy novels, A Song of Ice and Fire (which is, of course, being adapted in the HBO series Game of Thrones). I was fortunate enough to obtain a set of the complete series of novels to date, and though it would be interesting to read through it at a gentle pace, giving my thoughts on it as I go.
Note that I have never read any of the novels before, nor have I watched any of the TV series, so to have basically no idea where any of this is going. Well, except that a lot of people are going to die, which sounds very much like my sort of literature. Still, we shall see.
For obvious reasons, please keep any spoilers in the comments to a minimum.
